14 GIVES TEA FOR MOTHERS Mrs. Eugene Mancinelli, 1010 Sheridan road, was hostess to members of the Mothers' club or Sigma Delta sorority of Northwestern university at a bridge tea last Monday afternoon at her home. Mrs. Mancinelli is president of the club. WILMETTE SCULPTOR TO EXHIBIT Stephen Beatnes, ·Evanston sculptor, is arranging an exhibit of the work of sculptors of Chicago and .vicinity to be held at Shawnee Country club beginning Dec. 8, and to be one of the series sponsored by the art committee of the club of which Mrs. Charles H. Dennis of Evanston is the chairman. In January he will arrange a similar exhibit for the Evanston Art cente_r. Mr. Beames is exhibiting in the citrrent show at the Art institute, his entry a statuette of Yvonne Chayea,!l, a little Evanston girl. Lardner of Glencoe, is a Tenderfoot Scout in Troop 22 of the Union church . Glencoe. He joined the troop in April of this year and went to work to pass his Second Class test which includes First Aid . This training he recei ved under Louis Birdsall, his patrol leader. On July 18 while on vacation at Green Lake, Wis., Billy had a chan cr to use his first aid training. A littk girl, Virginja Dean, 2 ye~rs of age, fe ll off the pier. She was dtscovered later bv her father and when taken from tlw ~ater was unconscious. A group of people gathered but, though th ey worked frantically, could not bring th l' child to consciousness.
