FINISH P A~IPHLETS The eighth grades of Stolp school have just finished the second of their social science pamphlets, "The Mechanical Conque.·ts of America," which told of the larg·e inventions from 1790 to 1917. The IH·w pamphlet is, "America's March for I )emocracy," taking up the time from th e first settlement in this country in 1607 through the ivil war to 1765. BASKETBALL PRACTICE The eighth grade girls of Howard have been practicing for the basketball team. In SA there Is quite a bit of competition to make the first team as we have 15 glrls in our room. Friday, 7B Stolp played 7C Stolp ,tn hockey, 7B scoring one point in the first period and 7C scoring two. The second period 7B scored none and 7C two more points. The third period was a hard fought one, 7B scoring one point and 7C one also. The game ended in 7C's fa\'or the score being 7C, 5 ; 7B, 2.-Junior Thomas, Stolp 7B. The 7B-1 basketball team of Stolp ~u swamped by the 7C-1 28 to 2. The game was not very llvely on the part of 7B. The 7C team had the ball most of the time.
