February 8, 1929 Mn. Marie M. BnUn, 22, Dies in Evanston Hospital I WILMETTE LIFE Mrs. Marie M. Braun, of 2134 Schiller street, Wilmette, wife of Leo B. ...- - - - - - - - - - - - - - _ . . Braun, mason and cement contractor, died Thursday night, January 31, at the Evanston hospital. Mrs. Braun was born and raised in Winnetka. She was 22 years old and the mother of two children, Leo, Jr. and Leroy. Surviving her are her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas N. Henrich, of 972 Elm street, Winnetka, one sister Gertrude, and two brothers, Willi~m and John, who live at home. Funeral services were held Monday -morning at 9 :30 o'clock at her late residence, 2134 Schiller street, to St. Joseph's church, Wilmette. Burial took place at Memor:al Park . cemetery. At Men's Club School Pupill Observe Birthdays of Great Men Abraham Lincoln's birthday will be observed in various ways by children of the ,Wilmette Public schools next Tuesday. Although no all-school programs have been arranged, some of the rooms will read extracts from Lin' coin's · most famous speeches. The school libraries are cooperating by plaCing on exhibition pictures of the Civil war president and clippings refating to him. The libraries will have similar exhibitions for birthdays of other great men, such as Washington and Longfellow, this month. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. McAdams are recetvmg congratulations upon the birth of their daughter, Nancy, January 31. Mrs. McAdams was formerly Miss Jean Dubbs of Wilmette. Mrs. C.. P. Merrill Mrs. Anthony French Merritt, of Chicago, will give _two lectures a~ meetings of the Wtlmette Teachers club to be held on February 18 and March 18. Mrs. Merrill appeared before the teachers' club here last year, and is a well known woman's club lecturer on the north shore. The Ladies' Guild meets Monday at for work in connf~tion with its program of benevolence. 'l'he ladies· are invited to come in for as much time as they can spend.
