March 15, 1929 WILMETTE LIFE 21 l Catholic Club Has Program of Irish Music, SQng, Dance A program dedicated to Ireland, in .music, song, and dance, was given at the Woman's Catholic club of Wilmette Tuesday afternoon in the Woman's club building. The program opened with Mrs. Louis Crush reading a paper entitled "Ireland the Beautiful." At its conclusion Miss Agnes Thale posed for a tableau, "The Spirit of Ireland." Mrs. B. M. Morris and Mrs. Harry Lombard played a duet of Irish melodies. Mrs. Dennis Harrison gave an Irish folk dance, and four of the members, in costume, each prc,(;nted an Irish song, Mrs. Charles Norman, Mrs. Frankl Rothing, Miss Vivyenne Morin and Mrs. Walter Berm~ngham. Miss Jean Miller and Miss Dolly Bell gave a symbolic dance representing the Irish Free State. The meeting closed with Mis~ Mary Schneider of the Northwestern university school of speech giving a reading. Jean Morris acted as page during the program. An exhibit of handcraft of members of the club, an important part of the program, provided much interest. Old quilts, those of more morlern making. hooked rugs, needlework of all kinds, paintings, and a ship model made by a son of one of the members, received their share of "~tention. A surprise to the members was the Art institute under the direction of Mrs. B. M. Lupton. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. A. VI/.
