PLAYGROUNDS AND RECREATION BOARD: We favor the continuation of the present playground and recreati011 program as necessary to the health and happiness of the community. We favor the "tcquisitlon and dP.velopment of parks and playgrounds as set forth In the approved official Wilmette Plan, as adopted by the present administration, and to the extent of funds avatlable for that purpose, also, the extension of the recreation program in keeping with ' manifested public interest. GRADE SEPARATION: We favor the further co-operation of the administration with the administrations of other North Shore villages along the Chicago and North Western Railroad and the Chicago, North Shore and Mtlwaukee Railroad in negotiations with these railroads regm·ding the matter of grade separation. WATER SUP PI... Y : We favor the continuation of the present system of water supply as economical and efficient. PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS: 1. Streets: We favor the continuation of a policy of street improvements com_. patible with the best Interests of the prol)erty owners Involved. 2. Sewers: We favor the rapid completion of the storm water sewer system in the recently annexed territory. 3. Garbage Dfsposo.l: The tremendous growth of the Village of Wilmette demands that this phase of our problem be given immediate attention. We favor the quick consummation of negotiations now under way for the acquisition of a suitable site and the erection thereon of a garbage disposal plant to care for present and future needs of the village.
