WILM E'· TT E' L IF~ March 22, 192tJ Junior Hikers Plan Vaudeville Program in Kenilworth Gym The Junior Hikers of Kenilworth, boys between the ages of 8 and 12 years, are planning a program o£ vaudeville entertainment in the new Kenilworth memorial gymnasium on May 12, Each Junior Hiker club will put on a fifteen minute exhibition, and a sheepskin trophy will be awarded to the winner. "The activities of the Junior Hikers serve not only to bring out the leadership and initiative in the boys, but to occupy their leisure time as well," according to Robert W. Townley, athletic director of the Joseph Sears school who is in charge of the Hikers' work. "The Junior Hikers organization has passed out of the experimental stage," Mr. Townley states, "arid, judging from the reactions of parents, has proved its worth." There are now ten Junior Hiker clubs, with a boy leader for each club. Regular meetings are held in the homes of the boys. Fathers frequently ar company the boys on their hikes.
