These letters called specific attention to the fact that wire gauze or leather basket muzzles are required by the ordinance, since the · usual type of leather strap muzzle was found not tight enough or secure enough to prevent a dog from nipping or biting. A fine of not less than two dollars nor more than twenty-five dollars is provided by the ordinance for every violation of the same. The licensing and registering of dogs are other matt ers discu ssed in the ordinance. Instructions to enforce strictly the dog muzzling ordinance passed by the Kenilworth Village board a year ago were given to the police department of Kenilworth this week. Action to this effect was taken by the Kenilworth board which met in regular session Monda~ night. The ordinance, which went into effect May 1, 1928, makes it necessary to keep all dogs in Kenilworth muzzled at all blaze in the roof of a vacant house at 1721 Lake avenue for three hours early · Tuesday morning. After working from 2 to 5 a. m. the fire fighters took a rest, hut . were called back to the same place at 8 :30 that morning, when some old shingles in the roof were foun$1 to he burning. The house is owned by Bernard Schildgen. On Wednesday afternoon about 5:30 the department was called to the F.
