"Smoky," the fire clown, will be ~n Wilmette Friday, May 3, to entertam school children of the first ~x grades. "Smoky's" real name is Harry K. Rogers, engineer of the Fire Prevention department of the Western Actuarial bureau. Mr. Rogers has given his original and now famous fire clown exhibition before hundreds of thousands of school children in all parts of the country. In accordance with a plan sponsored by the United States Chamber of Commerce~ the board of directors of the Wilmette Chamber has appointed a permanent fire prevention com~uittee composed of F. ). Budinger, cha1rman, D. E. Allen, and R. M. Johnston to map out a year-round program for keeping residents of the community reminded of the fire evil.
