The artist, Kathry~1 Witwer, sopr~no, was assisted by Helen Leefelt, pianist, who is also her accompanist. Since her first appearance in Wilmette a few short years ago this young American singer has become a finished artist. During her extended tour just closing, her popularity has been such that she will respond many return engagements next seaso1,. Miss Witwer captivated her audience Tuesda.y evening from the moment she stepped upon the stage in her shimmering green gown, a picture of lovely youth and springtime, until the last liquid tones of the closing encore. Her pure flexible voice possesses a warmth an~ richness seldom found in the soprano register, an exquisitely beautiful voice superbly trained and directed with rare intelligence.
