Boxing Show Comes to Chicago Boxing fans who like plenty of action in the ring are promised ju· st that . . when the national A. A. U. champwnships in all classes from 112 pounds to heavyweights take place at the Chicago Stadium Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, April 23, 24, and 25. There will be from twenty-five to thirty fights each night involving the i best amateur battle~s from all parts of the United States. This is the first time that a national A. A. U. boxing championship has ever been held in Chicago: ¥ost . ?f the twenty-five A. A. U. dtstncts will send teams of from three to ten fighters, the best in each ·section of the country. Eliminations will be held the first two nights and the semi-finals on the last night. Officials as well as the fighters will come from all parts of the country. President Avery Bru11dage of the National A . .A. U. and officials of the Central A. A. U. will be in direct charge of the tournament. T~e fighters will meet for three, three-minute rounds, an extra round to h e ordered in case of a draw at the end of three rounds.
