Ernau Akely, pianist and pr~si1dent of the North Sh?re Mustcal society; has been placed 111 charge as affiliated teacher of a new branch of the Sherwood Music school of Chicago just established in Wilmette. Tl~e studio of the Wilmette branch ts located in Mrs. Akely's home, 615 Lake avenue, Wilmette, and teaching is now in progress. Mrs. Akely, a pupil of Mme. Sturkow -Ryder, has been teaching in Wilmette for several years. She has appeared in concert in Kimball hall and on the north shore. The north shore branch of the school has been established to obviate the necessity of Sherwood students in this vicinity going into Chicago for instruction, it is explained. Faul, 850 Sheridan road Wilmette, died of a heart attack at h~r home Tuesday, April .23. Mr. and Mrs. Faul, who had been married fifty-six years, moved to Wilmette sixteen year:; ago from Chicago, where for fifty )'ears Mr. Faul was connected with the display advertising department of the 'Chicago Tribune. He retired eleven years ago. Mrs. Faul was born at Germantown, N. Y. November 4, 1851. .In 1855 her family moved to Madison, Wis., and ten years later came to Chicago, where she spent the remainder of her life. Mrs. Faul was a member of the Woman'·s club of Wilmette and of the Eastern Star. She was the mother of seven children. Her husband, William H. Faul, and three of the children, Arthur H., of Evamton, Elmer M., of Milwaukee, and Mrs. David G. Park, of Wilmette, survive her. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 :30 o'clock in the Rosehill cemetery chapel.
