May 17, 1929 WILMETTE LIFE Camp Leaders Get Special Course in · Camp Supervision Charles A. Steele of Glencoe, chairman of the Council Camping committee, and Carl McManus, assistant Scout executive, returned last Saturday from Indian Mound Milwaukee Scout camp reservation to report a week of fine training ' in the Camp Leaders' Training school. Mr. Steele studied particularly with the camp directors' group and state3 he gained many ideas in layout, equipment and management for Camp Ma-Ka- J a\ Van. Mr. ~{c'Manus worked in the group of aquatic directors and, under the leadership of Capt. ~red C. ~{ills of the national staff, earned the American Red Cross senior life saving exa·niners' hadge.:;.
