"Man-ltfaile"' Static Soon to Be Thing· of Past· Randlev "Man-made static" wiU be eliminated shortly, according to P. H. Randlev of the Dannemark Electric shop, local distributors of the C. A. Earl Radio. "In . the past," say3 Mr. Randlev "radio manufacturers have endeavored to meet 'man-made' electrical interference in radio reception by attempted refinements in radio circuits. In thL· · future they will not only continue building super-selective and supersensitive radio sets but they will also cooperate with manufacturers of all forl11'3 of electrical devices so that these devices may be built in a fashion that will avoid their interfering with radio reception. "Towards this end a conference is being called shortly by the C. A. Earl division of the Charles Freshman Company, Inc., at which will be present representatives of the leading manufacturers of electric flasher ·3igns, electric pianos, electric elevators, telephone apparatus, electric street cars and electric refrigerators. The C. A. Earl engineers at this time will discuss with the electrical engineers the re.m lt of over six months' of investigation of· the problem of static elimination. They wilt djscuss in detail the part of the electrical apparatus that causes interference with radio reception and introduce devices they have discovered which will correct the trouble "It has been definitely proven that all electrical di·3turbances which enter the set either through the power line or through the aerial may he eliminated in the apparatus involved if the construction of the apparatus is perfect. "The problem recognized by radio engineers now, is tiot to discover devices which will eliminate this electrical interference, but to devise the cheapest and most expedient form of using what they have developed. "'C. .A. Earl engineer.;,' according to Mr. Randlev, 'have uncovered the best way of handling these problems and will give them to the world shortly.' ., Have Your Furs CLEANED, REPAIRED OR REMODELED just before you place them in Storage.
