December 20, 1929 WILMETTE .LIFE MARRIAGE ANNOUNCED Word has been received of the marriage of Miss Mildred Moore McCullough, daughter of Ellsworth William McCullough of Was}:lington, D. C., formerly of Wilmette, to Alton Lewis Kibler on December 10. The bride and groom will be at home after February I, at 1819 Chilton street, Baltimore, Md. The former Miss McCullough is a graduate of New Trier High school and of the National Kindergarten and Elementary college. 9 Howard Bowen Dies; Shawnee Players Make First Bow of Season Prominent Architect The Shawnee Players presented two and Building Expert plays last Saturday and Sunday at Ho~a~d Bowen, Wilmette building commtsswner and prominent north shore architect, died Thursday night, December 12, at the age of 58 years. He had served Wilmette as building commissioner from May, 1927 to the time of his death. Hea.r t tro~ble was the cause of Mr. Bowen's death. He had been ill for the past year. Mr. Bowen was the architect for . the Wilmette Baptist church: The greater part of his architectural work has be~n done on north shore homes during the past twenty-five years. He drew the plans for the recently completed Chimneys-: the modern store and ·apartment bmldmg on Center street near Winnetka avenue in Indian Hill. H!s offices were at 549 W. Washington boulevard, Chicago. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. .Grace B. Bowen, and one son, Harvey N. Bowen, 1096 Ash street, Winnetka. The funeral services were held at the Wilmette Baptist church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. George D. Allison, pastor, officiating. Wilmette village officials attended in a body. Burial took place at Graceland cemetery. Logan-Howard Pre-School . Members of the "Musical Skit" cast were Virginia Dodge, Stuart Thomson, Marion Kirkland, and Mrs. Edward Flannery In "Half Hour" those who took part were Mrs. Paul W. Cook, Arthur Seibold., Dr. Robert Whitfield, Catherine Mueller, George Sando, Mrs. Waldemar de Bille, Dr. W. W.
