Febru.~ry 7, 1930 WILMETTE LIFE 5 First Meetings of Wam Information on Taxes Now Available · Bridge Classes to (Continued from Page 1) Be Held Next Week The Wilmette Woman's club has been selected as the meeting place for the auction and contract bridge classes to be conducted by the Wilmette Playground and Recreation board. The classes will hold initial meetings next week. The contract class under the direct:on of Helen Hyde Carter will be held at 8 o'clock on Monday evenings and the auction class also under her direction will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Registration remains open for each of these classes and a last extension ·of time has been granted those who wish to enroll in the classes · and have not registered. These people may register at the door, Daniel M. Davis, director of recreation, has announced. · Enrollment must be made for the entire course since no individual le ssons will be given. The class will follow the graduatory phases of the rudiments of the game, eitlLr contract or auction, and continue to the more complex stages of bidding. Mrs. Carter, who is a student of \Vhitehead and Culbertson and other e<.~stern bridge experts, will follow the conve.ntions of bidding as taught by them. She is well known on the north shore for her classes. The courses fol]('w a preliminary lecture by Paul H. Seymour, Chicago bridge expert, who lectures at the Shawnee Country club at 8 :15 o'clock this evening. New Trier books.
