at Village Green The annual parade was held at the Village Green on Friday. june 24. The parade was a huge affair and a- grand success. 'About twenty-fivce doil buggies were decorated in .a large variety of colors, among thein being, red, green and blue. .Besides buggies there Were. bicycles, tricy- cles and wagons which were deco- rated, by Miss 'Skidmore and thé older girls. The parade started at Village Green playground and continueÏ1 down to Washington avenue;- then it turned down to Seventeenth street, continuing:to Lake,:and up) Lake un- tii we again. arrived at the Village Green. The parents were cordially invited to watch their children's activities. and a large crowd of mothers at- tended. "DRSSUP" PARADE for Sehoolmates On june 2e, Dorothy Neuses had a beach party. She invited nine girls fromn our rxom. We alnmade our lunches -and Dorothy's mo ther tookc us down to the beach. We went right over. to .Washington park te eat our lunch., We walkedback to the beaich. after lunch. We waited for about an hour, thien we went in swimming. Tbey would not put the rafts out,. because the waves: were tôo bihgh. After a while, wh en we. came out of the water. Then we got, two card tables out. We had ice crearn, cake, candyiand -peanuts. After th-at we played kickball. 1 made five runis.
