M<usîc Federation WiIIl Have Anrmual Luncheon Revival of the North Shore Music festival through the organization of the Northwestern University Festival association was anounced last week'byý a group of Northwesterti trustees.iii cooperation with a number of prominent Cicagoans. 1Dr. frederick Stock, conductor of the Chicago. Symphony orcheStra, will serve as director of the' festival, and will- be assisted hy Dr. John W. Beattie, acting dean o( the School of Music of Northwestérn university, , and Glenn Cliffe. Bainum, director >of the Northwestern University band and glee clubs. According to present plans the festival will' be held for four nights during the 'second or third week of May. The firet eveninq will be devoted to a choral program, the second will be an orchestra and artists' night, and a chorus of more- than> a thousand school children will sing on the third. *The last evening an. opera will be preented. Amnong the organizations that will participate will be the Northwestern Unliversitv festival choir of 1,500 voices, the Northwestern A Cappella choir, and the Chicago $yniphony orchestra. Prior to 1932 the spring festival had been prodùced annually for 24 yjàes ând 1iajgaied widespread recognition for its programs.
