The Hornets won a closely contested gaxne from the Wiimette Taiors 8-7. The Hornets led 6-2 at the end of the fifth inning. The Wiimette Tailors scored five runs in the sixth and seventh inning to take the lead 7-6. The Hornets then scored 2 runs in their hait of the seventh inning to win 8-7. Other scores were, Pandas 16, Wilmette Tailors, 7; Ed Richard's Carpets 10, Crosse and Blackwell 2; Pandaýv bed out weIl before being flled each morning. ,Enjoy Boat Race This week, on one of the warmest days, ail activities at the play- ground were stopped while we hiad a sail boat race in the pool. The contestants lined up their boats, which at the signal whistle were shoved from the edge by the owner. The rubes were not very clear to anyone so, the owners or bystand- ers tried to hurry their boat or a friend's boat along. by making .waves with. their hainds or feet. In- stead of heiping they made the boats turn around and come back to port. There was lots of cxcitement as the winnè rs drew in. to shore, on the opposite side of the pool.
