There were 21 girls'at Camp Shaginappi,.near Fond du Lac, Wis.; three girls at.Camp Merri Wood, 'at Doster, Mich.;' two girls at Timber Trail near ýMgnising, Mich.; three girls at Potawatomie Camp at Elk- horn, Wis.;-, and two at- Camp Hickory Hill at Edgerton, Wis: in addition to this there were 15 girls who went to our own troop cap, onduced by Mrs. Erest. The beautiful log cabin so generously loaried us by Mr. David Nelson, proved to be very weil adapted to the uses to which it was put. There was an ,active pro- gram comparable to that of any es- tablished camp. There were nature hikes, exploration hikes, star' gazing,, handicraft of varlous ktuLts, first ald, swimming, rhythms, smnging, drama- tizations of many kincis and gamnes. There was a campfire every -night, outdoors when possible and indoors when it was cold or damp. The girls planned and carrîed out ai Scout's Own for each of the two Sun- days that they were there. After the successful com- pletion of their training there' the cadets will be coômmissioned -as en- signs in the naval reserve, and Will then be required to serve- threé Years with the United States fleet. Aîter finishing this period they will be 'given the rank of lieutenant (junior grade) and the option of serving with the, fleet for four yeàrs more. Formerly, it was necessary 14 serve with the fleet for 4three Years as aviation cadet before re- ceiving the ensign's commission.
