Nortkrige Notes The meeting of the Nortbridge1 Woman's club was held Monday eve- ning, October 8, at the home of Mrs. M. A. Borreson, 2010 Thorn- wood avenue. Miss Berenice Viole, pianist, opened the meeting with. a group of numbers superbly played. Miss Viole played tbree concerts in Paris and two in Berlin during ber two years' stay in Europe, and the Nortbridge club great ly appreciated this opportunity of bearing ber. Miss Viole played last night, "Spinning Song," by Mendelssobn; "Nocturne" in G major, Chopin; "Waltz" in A fiat major, Chopin; "The Wind," Alkan; "Sleeping Beauty," Tschai- kowsky-Pabst. L. E. Dunbar, guest speaker, show- ed màny pieces of antique silver to illustrate his, talk. The story of silver and the art of the silversmith, as told by Mr. Dunbar, are definitely a part of 'the evolution of mankind, and religion and culture occupy an important place in their bistory.
