Logan-Howard PTA Celebrate Founder's Day The past presidents of both the Logan-Howard and Central Laurel Parent-Teacher associations were the guests of honor at a joint meeting of the two groups Tuesday afternoon February 5, at 2:45 o'clock at Howard school. Founder's day was celebrated in a most appropriate manner. . A feature of the session was a lovely birthday cakce bearing thirty-eight candies-one for each year that the National: Congress of Patents and: Teachers has been in existence, Mrs. Frank- Adamns of the Central- Laurel group introduced the past presidePts ýfor that o>rganitatiîon, and, Mrs. .ýR. B.. DeVinny. presented the' past' presidentsof the logan-Howard: association. A Founder's Day box was in çvidence and received special off erings, "hich are used -by the 'Illî- nois Congress and National Congres of Parents and- Teachers, to further the. work of the Parent-Teacher associations over the. United States. The Akely instrumental trio pre- sented four musical num111bers. lThe first selection, g"Evening Song" by David Geppert, a graduate of Stolp school. last year, was played by the trio. The second offering was a vio- lin solo by Frances Akely-"Perpet- ual Motion" by Bohi. Blythe Akely, 'cellist, played Lotti's "An Air."
