The State highway department is willing to insta» lights, at titis interestcicon under certain conditions, one of which would tic up Kenilworth's share of the gasoline tax. The bigh- way dcpartmnent stipulates that if the -. stop lights are to be installed at the state's expense Kerilwortb must ap- * ply towards the widening and paving of Ridge road its share of the gas tax. Subway Insperative Need -It was pointed out by several of the waukee tracks and under Gireen Bay road, -is far more important than' the widening of Ridge road. Only a part of the frontage on Ridge road in west Kenilworth is inside the Kenil- worth limits. -The rest is 'in Wil- mette, on. Indian Hill' club property, or in unincorpor ated areas. The danger to children crossingý Green Bay road and the railroad tracks was stressed.. This danger, it1 was poifted out, cannot be -entirely1 n the Masonic templpe auditorium under sponsorship of the Chaniber of Commerce.
