The final-score was 25 to 24, although Kir- wan of the ,H.enrekson. team just missed making it a tie with a sen- sational last minute play when the. bail was in the. air ,while the final whistle blew. Ifthe Freshmen can maintain, this lead for three more Wednesday eve- nings, last Wednesday's victory will net. them the league championship since the "Ç' league wil finish its season March .6, the, first of the -Recreation board's,1934-35 activities, to terminate., Although both, the Henreksons and the F~reshmen have, Iost two games each,' the Freshmen- team has played one more game than the Henreksons and thus are able to lead the field. In last Wednesday's classic gaine, the Herireksons started the scoring when P. 1Emrich~ made a free, throwv and drew second blood with DeWitt's field goal. Then the Freshmen got started and at the end of the first quarter had the score 6 to 5 in their favor. The gaine continued very close with the score 10 to 12 in favor of the Freshnien at the haif, four of the Henrekson points being made by free throws. .Henreksons started the third quar- ter by taking the lead and held it tili the last twenty minutes of pl'ay, when Seifert, captain of thie Freshmen, miade a basket to put the score 25 to 22. *Just as thie final whistle blew, Kirivan of the Henrekson aggEegation sank a. long one to bring the score 25 to 24.
