Notch Two Victories Earlier in the season New Trier won from Evanston in a dual meet, and two weeks ago finished first in a triangular meet with Deerfield-Shields and Hammond. Bill Faymonville, New Trier's shot put expert, broke the old Suburban league record in this event by more than two feet in the annual league indoor track meet at the Oak Park field house last Saturday. The new record established by Faymonville was 52 feet Il inches. The old mark was 50 feet 5 inches. Take Third Place New Trier finished third in. the senior division of the meet and sec- oid in the junior division. Oak Park, with 45 points, was first in the senior section, and Evanston, 'with 36 points, took second. New Trier had 18 points, Deerfield 10, Proviso 5 and Morton 3. Oak Park also won the junior section, scoring 38 points to New Trier's 20. Evanston finished in third place, one point behind New Trier. Other boys besides Faymonville who contributed points for New Trier in the senior division were: Bill Jenkins, who won second in the broad jump; DeWitt Jones, fourth in the low hurdles; Bill White, fourth in the mile; Ted Smith, second in the half mile, and David Gooder and Kenneth Cowan, third and fourth re- spectively in the quarter mile.
