- Matthew J. Scholle, 76, of Antioch, Illinois, died January 29, 2014. He was born July 25, 1937 in Chicago to John and Genevieve (nee Czajkowski) Scholle. He was the husband of Carol (nee Sompel) Scholle, whom he married on May 18, 1974 at St. John the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife Rita (nee Merk) Scholle, his parents and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Nancy (Jess) Inman. He is survived by his wife, three aunts, one uncle, many cousins, his brothers-in-law Dan and Rick (Debbie) Sompel, his sisters-in-laws Betty Sompel and Louise (Edward) Flood, three nephews, one niece, one great-niece, and one great-nephew. Burial will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
