- Robert G. Nelson, 84, of Crystal Lake, died February 16, 2014 in Crystal Lake. He was born June 26, 1929 in Crystal Lake to George and Rose Nelson (nee Gaebe). He was the father of Linda (Paul) Hoefert, Bob Nelson, and Susan (Dennis) Rasmussen. He was the husband of Barbara Brayton. He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his children, grandchildren Alex, Andrew, Dana (Jessica), Erik (Erica), and Kyle (Tiffani), 8 great-grandchildren, brother Malvin Nelson, niece Mary, and Nephew Mark. Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park.
