- Charlotte L. Kurzeja, 83, of Wonder Lake, died February 19, 2014 at Centegra Hospital in McHenry. She was born February 6, 1931 in Valley City, ND to Charles and Lorraine (Thorsen) McClaflin. She was the mother of Nancy (late Carl) Tomaso and Joseph M. (Stacia) Kurzeja. She was the wife of Joseph C. Kurzeja whom she married on June 17, 1950. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Dale McClalfin, and an infant son John. She is survived by her children, her grandchildren, Joseph (Sarah Bechtol) Tomaso, Danny (Lidiya) Tomaso, and J.D. Kurzeja; her sisters-in-law, Sylvia McClaflin and Mary (late Teddy) Sielepkowski. Burial will be in Christ the King Cemetery.
