Will CR} DITABLE RECORD IN ("DDY TRE\T.\II‘NT (er part of the golf Benson 1 had Bra- dy give a dinner to the caddy mns‘ ters working 'under this agreement so as to cement the good feeling between them and give us a good start for next year. “With the loss of the older cad- dies we were confronted with the necessity of training an unusually large number of younger boys. The Exmoor caddies are divided into two classes. “A." receiving twenty- flve cents an hour, and “B," receivâ€" ing twenty cents an hour. A class “A†caddy marked "poor." or “fair" more than nnce within a rea- sonable period is put into “B" class. A class "B†caddy marked "good" five successive times is advanced to Class “A." In order to get as efficient mark- ing as possible. and also to get in- formation on what trsining the classes needed. we changed the esti- dy ticket so that a member could inâ€" dicate wherein a caddy was deï¬cient. A caddy marked “poor" or "fair" was supposed to need further t’rsln- ing and was taken in hand by Brs- dy. Where the member indicsted what training was required he was} specially trained on those points“ Brady did remarkably good work 'in training the csddies . ghosting [7]: the Players “We tried to impress the caddies with the fact that they were work- ing snd;were receiving good pay. end that in ’retum they should give the- best service they could. We triedzto impress upon them the feet thst we ‘were not criticising them merely to fiind‘ (suit but in order that they» )micht improve their work snd get the higher rste oi' pey. Believing thst the csddies themselves were entitled to protection we kept ‘- rec- ord of the members showing their msrking oi the caddies end their scores. From this record it seemed thst some members ususlly msrked their caddies poor while others were apt to have poor csddles when their, scores were high and good *csddie's (Continued from Page (Continued from Page One) receive prompt attention s.
