Age 86; resident of Elmhurst IL, formerly of De Pere, Allouez and Green Bay WI, Northbrook and Glenview IL, and Flemington NJ; born to Olga and Neils Beck in Green Bay; in high school worked for father at Beck's Bakery and as his chauffeur; graduate of East H.S. in 1944; served in U.S. Navy on sea-going tug boat ATA 189, covered Guam, New Zealand and Hawaii; attended U. of Wisconsin-Madison; career in air pollution control with Pulliam Power Plant in Green Bay; as technical consultant sold electrostatic precipitators to coal fired power plants; obtained private pilot license, also enjoyed electronics and photography; preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette, two brothers, Ed and Dan and two sisters, Leona Rasmussen and Viola Mails
