Age 85; resident of Tiburon CA for 42 years; born in Peoria IL to Frances Irene Thorson and Harry Michael Cole; grew up in Glenview IL, graduated in 1947 from Chicago's Loyola H.S.; attended Marquette U., graduated from U.S. Naval Academy in 1953 with major in Engineering; joined U.S. Air Force in Colorado Springs CO in pilot training program; Air Training Officer on faculty of Air Force Academy from 1955-57; married 1st wife in 1956; received Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from U. of Colorado in Boulder in 1963; served as U.S. Air Force pilot in Vietnam as Defense Intelligence Specialist, military career spanned 21 years; retired to Tiburon, active as investor and money manager; preceded in death by his 1st wife, Anne in 1983 and his 2nd wife, Corliss in 2008
