- Survived by: Mr. Conners never married. He is survived by his sisters, Sister Ellen Marie, O.S.F., Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Glenview, and Helen G. Conners of Northfield; a brother, William of Abrams, WI; and a nephew, Michael.
John Conners, age 67, of Chicago, died at St. Francis Hospital of Evanston. Mass was offered at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Stiles, WI. Mr. Conners retired on March 2, 1981, after 25 years as an English teacher at Lane Technical High School in Chicago. He also was an author of seven books of poetry, the most well known of which are (Caliban(, (Toly Soldier( and (Echoes(.
