Age 18; died in battle while serving with the U. S. Army near Chu Lai, Vietnam, as a result of hostile fire; lived at 35 Ardmore Av., Glenview; the fifth of 10 children; served in the U. S. Army's 82nd Field Artillery, American Division, the same division in which his father served in WWII; Military funeral.
