Jerome (Mary) and James C. (Sally); nieces and nephews
Age 81; born in Chicago to Raymond and Elizabeth Carey Dowdle; 1941 graduate of Loyola Academy and attended Loyola U.; in WWII served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 1942-46; married 1947; started in the coal business before forming and becoming president of Romona Stone, in 1968 began a career in the financial services industry, retiring in 1998; active on the board of trustees at Loyola Academy for 10+ years, also on boards of Sts. Faith, Hope and Charity Parish, Big Shoulders and Sierra Club, very involved with the Link Program, helping inner city students with financial support for college; preceded in death by his brother Rayond R. (Dee) and sister Mary (late Jack) Lucas
