Age 86; 20-year resident of Glenview IL, former 15-year resident of Wilmette, Chicago native; degree in chemistry from North Park College (now North Park U.); turned down for active service in WWII because of flat feet, did food testing on military rations for U.S. Department of Agriculture; opened Standard Reserach Laboratories in Chicago, developed products for baking industry and later for health food business; vice president of operations for product division of Beatrice Foods, retired in 1980; 50-year member of American Chemical Society, founding member of Congregation Am Shalom in Glencoe
