Age 78; passed away at Westminster Presbyterian Home in Evanston IL; longtime resident of Kenilworth; born in Minneapolis MN to Harry and Dorothy Griffith, moved to Evanston as a child, met his future wife in 8th grade; graduated from Evanston Township H.S. and Northwestern U. with degree in business in 1955, member of Sigma Chi fraternity (later inducted into fraternity's (Order of Constantine( for decades of service); married after graduation, deployed as U.S. Air Force intelligence officer to Korea, completed ROTC in Great Falls MT, left service in 1958; financial analyst at Hornblower and Weeks; assistant to Consolidated Foods executive, left in late 1960s; joined G.H. Walker Laird in institutional sales; lived four years in Greenwich CT working for Morgan Stanley in New York, started Chicago branch in 1978; early 1980s founded investment firm of Hayes & Griffith, became Convergent Capital Management in 1990s; preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Lisa - Date of Publication
