Age 97; born in New York City, grew up in Queens (summers with family at the beach in Bayville NY); attended Jamaica H.S., Sweet Briar College, Barnard College (music major, sang in Barnard/Columbia glee club) and Columbia Teachers College; married in 1945, as a U.S. Navy wife, lived in several U.S. cities including Newport RI, Bethesda MD, New York City and Washington D.C., and in European cities, London, Frankfurt and Paris; moved to Evanston IL in 1967; sang in St. Athanasius Church choir for 25+ years; volunteer driver for elderly/disabled for FISH for 15 years; Brownie and Girl Scout leader; preceded in death by her husband, Chet, a son, Christopher D.
