Worked at Cedar Rapids Gazette before marrying. Worked in advertising with Glenview Announcements and Chicago Tribune. Volunteered at Art Institute for 20 years. Member of Winnetka Congregational Church. Preceded in death by brother Tom Black. Memorial service, Winnetka Congregational Church, July 13, 2017. Article includes photograph.
