Age 93; born in Logan UT to Grace Peterson and Gustaf Johnson and raised in Preston ID; served The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints mission in Stockholm, Sweden, outbreak of WWII transferred to Northern States Mission in U.S. to complete mission; attended Utah State Agricultural College; married in Logan LDS Temple on May 17, 1944; served in U.S. Navy during WWII; after war, resumed diary science education and earned Master of Science in bacteriology; 1951 worked as research scientist with Kraft Cheese in Glenview IL; upon retirement returned to Utah; cared for wife with Parkinson's last 15 years of her life; preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Irene, his wife, Marna, and son, Craig - Date of Publication
