Age 100; resident of Glenview IL; born in Assaria KS; graduated from Shurz H.S. in Chicago, U. of Illinois and from Chicago Medical School in 1936; enlisted in U.S. Army Air Corps, served as a flight surgeon; after war worked as industrial surgeon with Federal Aviation Administration; 1949 moved to Glenview; 1956 bought property and built Morton Grove Medical Center; staff member of Lutheran General and Swedish Covenant; retired in 1994; enjoyed walking, nature, etymology, history, family and travel; preceded in death by his parents (father Edward was a doctor and mother Jenny a nurse) brothers, John and Robert (doctor of optometry in Skokie and Morton Grove for 35 years)and sister, Ellen Hartman (a nurse) - Date of Publication
