Age 86; born in Shermerville (now Northbrook) on Thanksgiving Day to Henry and Clara Rugen Mueller and moved to Glenview as a small boy where he lived and worked the rest of his life; park district police officer, retired in 1980; a carpenter by trade, also worked as a cab driver and bus driver, owned the Pure Oil Station on Waukegan Road, tended bar at Glenview Recreation, the bowling alley owned by his father; married in 1937; preceded in death by his wife, June in 1969
