Survived by: his mother Margaret; three daughters, Cindy Friese of Ft. Laudedale, FL, Cathy Devlin of Glenview, and Elizabeth Meyer of Vernon Hills; three grandchildren, Sha-Chelle and Tad Devlin and Adam Meyer; and a brother, Earl Wegner of White Bear Lake, WI.
Elmer Wegner, a 34-year resident of Glenview, died at Lutheran General Hospital. He was 71. A graduate of Indianan University, he was administrator of Maryhaven Nursing Home, Glenview, from 1968 to 1975. He also worked as an industrial realtor for Felbingers, Inc. in Chicago. During World War II, Mr. Wegner attended officers training school at Harvard University and served as lieutenant in the Navy. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. John M. Griffiths of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and Pastor Robert Hetico of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
