Joyce was married to Guy Spahr Weddle for 40 years. She was born in Chicago to Ellen (Fogel) and Chester Cramer. She grew up in Glenview, IL where she attended high school at Glenbrook North and South. Joyce attended William Penn College for a year, then transferred to the University of Iowa, where she graduated with a double major in Social Work and psychology. She worked at the MRFIT heart research program in Miami. Her character was well reflected in her work and studies, and she devoted 10 years to the tender care of her mother-in-law, Daisy S. Weddle. Loving and caring, her most outstanding characteristic was her generosity, apparent to all who met her. She is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews whom she adored. Her marriage was extremely happy, with continuous mutual love and joy in each other's presence, considered unique by most who knew them. An extraordinary cook, she may be remembered by the Masons, for the numerous fine, large meals she prepared for them. Joyce shone light, kindness, and comfort to all with no exceptions. Graveside service was held at 11 am on Friday, June 26, 2015 in Olive Branch Cemetery by Rev. Cliff Whitlock. visitation was at the Sturtevant Funeral Home chapel Thursday June 25 from 7 - 8 pm.
