Age 96; born in Grand Rapids, Michigan; bachelor's degree from Indiana U. in 1934; retired from Scott Foresman after 20+ years; member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help church in Glenview assisting in fundraising for the new building in the 40s and 50s and helping start the Friday afternoon Divine Mercy Prayer Group, a founder of the Glenview Historical Society and Girl Scout volunteer; preceded in death by her husband Elmer Louis in 1981, a daughter Cindy Wegner Friese, and her six siblings
