Age 76; 1953 graduate of Indiana State U.; taught elementary school in Indiana, Maryland and Evanston, IL; married in 1953; lived in Evanston and Wilmette before settling in Winnetka in 1965; volunteered at The Hadley School for the Blind since 1965, joined the Junior Auxiliary, served as editor of the school's Focus magazine, founded the Friends of Hadley in 1974, longterm Trustee for Hadley School; active in Winnetka Woman's Club, Canadian Women's Club Board, Christ Church and Hand Bell Choir, Woman's Board of Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care Center Service Board, Winnetka Caucus and Winnetka Community House Board of Governors; preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Ralph K. Strong and Mary Brown Strong and her sister, Helen Strong Keller - Date of Publication
