SELL 18 ACRES FOR NEW HOSPITAL SITE The night police early Friday mornâ€" ing discovered a mop leaning against a furnace in the basement of the Northwestern cafe, St. Johns avenue, and already smoldering. They put out the incipient blaze. The firemen received a couple of calls during the last week and the poâ€" lice extinguished one blaze. On Satâ€" urday night the firemen were called to the Theodore Arnswald place on Bobâ€"oâ€"Link road where flames had a good start in a garage. The building and a Ford car were ruined. The alarm was given by a passerby who went to the fire station after noticâ€" ing the fire. Cray a Civil war veteran and a former resident of Highland Park passed away Saturday morning at one o‘clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. B.Eiver of Benton Harbor,, Mich.
