Burrell, is one of the most universally attractive numbers of the evening of "Student Stunts." This play, under the direcâ€" tion of Miss Comer, is a hilarious farce comedy, full of embarrassing situations for the characters. Helen Carr In Lead William Gifford and Helen Carr have the leading roles, but there are many other interesting character parts, most of which are taken by seniors. _ The scene is laid in a woman‘s exâ€" change where secondâ€"hand clothes are Helen Carr as Emma, the society girl who is interested in welfare work, has the job of waiting on the customers and attempting to supply their needs. And then suddenly the crowd will be hushed as the lights go on and the show begins Sixty uniformed bandsmen stand at attention, move with military preâ€" cision, strike into a spirited march which makes the blood tingle and sets feet to tapping. This rousing openâ€" ing feature is followed by a lively saxophone double quartet, playing ‘pleasant. The students keep clapping Turners," who perform feats of asâ€" tonishing dexterity with all the apâ€" parent ease of a cageful of monkeys. _ Peter Grimson and ~his trusty xylophone give the audience a treat, with music which is tuneful and Ten girls and boys now take the stage with a variety of gay dances. There are a.funny clog. a dreamy waltz, a Military dance, and finally beautiful and colorful Polish dance with both boys and girls in a lively and graceful polka. Popular "blues" and plantation melodies are offered by Jack Williams, banjo artist, who appears next on the program as a happy negro minstrel. His tunes are all ones which the stuâ€" dents especially like, so they greet him with enthusiasm. And Now the Mystery Then comes "Static," the "Stunt" of the orchestra and Glee clubs, diâ€" rected by Mr. Dinkeloo. They have kept so mum about what it‘s going to be that everybody is dying to see it. It‘s the funniest thing I everâ€"ha!
