The total number of delegates present was 116. An organization known as the Arlington Heights Women‘s Fedâ€" eration was called into existence. Cars will leave the«church for Lake Forest at 10 a.m. A Leadership Training course for Presbyterian church schools of thos area has been organized to meet in this church for six evenings, or two nights a week for three weeks, under the leadership of Dr. Raiph Owens Because we have had so many canâ€" vasses of the membership lately, the elders and trustees of the church have decided to make the pledge as a church rather than ask for indiâ€" vidual pledges. During the next four vears, $100 will be added to the budget. The pension plan which is being put into effect in the Presbyterian church, and the $15,000,000.00 drive which must be completed to make the plan eMective is being promoted by Mr. J B. Peters and the Laymen committee of the Deerficld Presbyterian church. Our share in Deerfeld is about $500, payable $100 per year for five years. But this year‘s budget is already made up and we have not an extra $100. If each Presbyterian home in town will average about two and a half dollars, we will have enough. Much of the natâ€" ural resources of the country also are in danger of being destroyed. In some states, Dr. Ward said, rivers and lakes are almost beyond redempâ€" tion, so badly are the waters tainted. Already â€" many bodies of water bave been cleaned of filth and polluâ€" ters, and offorts are hasten the ultimate Tuberculosis mortality in Illinois has decreased from 79.3 per 100,000 population in 1925 to 76.3 in 1926. _ lllinois produced nearly oneâ€"fourth of the traction engines and tractors made in the United States during 1926. â€" use of fresh water as a disposal place for all sorts of wastes.
