Lake county now has 12 "superior‘" schools. There are only 60 such schools in.the entire state. The second highest county in the state as to superior school rating has only seven such rural institutions of léarning recognized as "superior." Teachers Rate Highly Ninetyâ€"five per cent of the rural school teachers in Lake county are normal school graduates, which, acâ€" counts in a large way for the higher standards maintained here. Mr. Hoffâ€" man, who has been head of the rural chool division of the state departâ€" ment for the past 22 years, said that rural school teachers oftentimes are incompetent..
