In 1916 he went to the University of Chicago asâ€"professor of law, and in 1926 was made viceâ€" president of the: university and dean of the faculties. Since the resignaâ€" tion of Dr. Max Mason as president of the University of. Chicago, Dr. Woodward has been acting president. Dr. Eiselen was professor of Bibâ€" lical literature at Northwestern from 1918 to 1924. ~He went to Garrett Biblical Institute as +~professor of Semitic languazes' in 1902, and in 1924 was made president.
