Fay Maâ€" sonic lodge here, of which Mr. Mcâ€" Pherson was a member, wired the Masonic lodge in Dawson to spare no expense in assisting the injured man and his family, and two of three telegrams were exchanged between the lodge officials there and Mr. Larâ€" son insuring the assistance of the Dawson Masons. Later they sent a The first telegram receivedâ€"by Mr. Hise from Mrs.. McPhersonâ€" came about 9:10. Monday morning, telling how the accident â€"occurred. Mrs. Mcâ€" Pherson, herself and their three chilâ€" dren. suffered minor injuries, none of them serious. On Tuesday, shortly after noon, Mr. Hise received a secâ€" ond message saying that Mr: McPherâ€" son lived only a few hours. _ Mother and Sister Start In the meantime Mrs. Hise and her mother, Mrs. A. G. McPherson had left Chicago on the Santa Fe railâ€" road, planning to go by rail and airâ€" plane to Dawson. Mr. Hise sent them a message to be delivered to them at Dodge City, Ia;, telling them that Mr. McPherson‘s condition was> critical and.that he had only a few hours to live. Wednesday morning â€" Mr. Hise received a message from Mrs. Mcâ€" Pherson to the effect that her husâ€" band‘s death had occurred Tuesday night. â€"_.â€"â€".. Doctor Flies to Aid 3 _ Dawson, N. M., is a small town with no physician near, and Mr. Hise consulted Dr. Roberts ofâ€" this city. The latterâ€"got in touch with Dr. Gateâ€" wood of Chicago, and through him word was sent to a physician in Coloâ€" rado Springs, Colo. The â€" latter started immediately by airplane to cover the 300 or more miles to the scene of the accident. Archibald Leslie ‘McPherson, 41, well known Highland <«Park autoâ€" mobile dealer, ‘died Tuesday night at Dawson, New Mexico, from theâ€" efâ€" fects of injuries received in an autoâ€" mobile accident there Sunday eveâ€" ning, as he and his family were drivâ€" ing from California to reâ€"establish their home in this city. ' g Only meager details have been reâ€" ceived here regarding the accident in telegrams sent . .by Mrs.<McPherson to Wayne Hise of this city, whose wife is a sister of Leslie McPherson. From these it is gathered that the_ accident happened while Mrs. Mcâ€" Pherson" was driving their Dodge sedan, when a rearâ€" tire blew out, causing the car to swerve into the ditch and upset.
